In Lincolnshire's district of South Kesteven is Grantham (/ˈɡr nθəm/ GRAN-thəm). (From September 2004), For their Football Development Centre of South Lincolnshire, Grantham College used two football pitches. Grantham once lay within Winnibriggs and, in the Parts of Kesteven, Threo wapentake in the Soke of Grantham.

Currently playing in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League, Grantham Town Football Club is the football team. Gorbonianus, a Britons King between 292 and 282 BC built Grantham, according to the Chronicles of Raphael Holinshed. The company made tanks such as Matilda at the Grantham factory during the Second World War.

Between the Newark Northgate and Peterborough stops, Grantham railway station is served by London-Edinburgh East Coast Main Line, and the (Poacher Line) Nottingham to Skegness Line. A further education college, Grantham College opened in 1948, for those not attending school sixth forms. Rolling countryside and woodland surround Grantham, such as Ponton Park Wood, which has walks and views of woods and farmland.

With the Belton Woods Hotel of Q-Hotel group, Marston's Olde Barn Hotel, the (former Marriott) Urban Leisure Hotel and golf clubs, the conference and hospitality industry is represented in Grantham. For the remaining functions that are ceremonial from the Borough Council of Grantham, the Trustees of the Grantham Charter have responsibility. Table Tennis Academy is one of the things that Grantham College has.
